A HubSpot alternative for businesses that answer the phone.

HubSpot is an outstanding CRM built for sales teams and RevOps functions. If your growth depends on inbound calls, local search and follow-up rather than a pipeline of enterprise deals, you are buying a lot of platform you will not use.

Short answer

HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional is $890 a month billed annually, plus a mandatory $3,000 one-time onboarding fee, and it is priced by seats and marketing contacts. TheBigBot is $197 or $497 a month with unlimited contacts and users — and it answers your phone, which HubSpot does not do.

01 · The short answer

HubSpot is not worse. It is aimed somewhere else.

Let us be fair about what HubSpot is: the best-documented, best-integrated CRM in the market, with reporting that nothing in our category comes close to, an enormous app ecosystem, and a ceiling high enough to run a public company on. If you have a sales team, a RevOps function and a long considered-purchase cycle, buy HubSpot.

Now the numbers, from HubSpot’s own pricing page as of August 2026: Marketing Hub Professional is $890 a month billed annually, includes 3 seats and 2,000 marketing contacts, and carries a mandatory $3,000 one-time onboarding fee. Enterprise is $3,600 a month with a $7,000 onboarding fee. Extra seats and extra contacts are billed on top.

Two things in that structure matter for a local business. First, you pay more as your contact list grows — the pricing is tied to the size of your database, which is the exact thing you are trying to grow. Second, the onboarding fee is larger than most of our customers’ entire first year.

And the thing HubSpot does not do at all: it does not answer your phone. For a dental practice, a law firm or a mortgage broker, the missed call at 6:40pm is the lost revenue. No amount of attribution reporting recovers it.

03 · Credit where it’s due

What HubSpot is genuinely good at.

We are not going to pretend our reporting is HubSpot’s. It is not close.

📈

Reporting and attribution

Custom objects, multi-touch attribution, forecasting — if you need to prove which channel produced revenue, HubSpot is in a different league

🔌

The ecosystem

Well over a thousand integrations and a partner network, so whatever else you run, something already connects to it

🚀

It scales past you

HubSpot will still be the right tool at 50 employees and at 500. Ours is built for the businesses we serve, not for that ceiling

04 · The difference

Where TheBigBot works differently.

Different problem, so a different shape of product.

📞

It answers the phone

The capability HubSpot has no equivalent for, and the one that decides revenue for a local business

Unlimited contacts

Your bill does not rise because your list grew — which is a strange thing to be penalised for

🛠

Built for you, not by you

No implementation project, no partner engagement, no $3,000 onboarding invoice

📱

SMS that is actually compliant

A2P 10DLC submitted for you, so texting works on US carriers from launch

🌐

Website and content included

The site and, on Pro, weekly blog and social — not a separate hub with its own price

05 · Which one is right for you

Be honest about what you need.

We would rather you pick the right tool than churn in month three.

Stay with HubSpot if

You are running a sales organisation.

  • You have a sales team with quotas, territories and a forecast to defend.
  • Attribution reporting drives real budget decisions and has to be defensible.
  • You have deep integrations into finance, product or support systems that already speak HubSpot.
  • You need custom objects, or a data model more complex than contacts, pipelines and appointments.
Choose TheBigBot if

You are running a business that books appointments.

  • Most of your revenue starts with a phone call, a form or a Google search.
  • You are paying for seats and contact tiers on features nobody on your team opens.
  • Nobody has time to administer a CRM, let alone implement one.
  • A $3,000 onboarding fee is more than your entire annual software budget.
06 · What switching looks like

What migrating off HubSpot involves.

Contacts, companies, deals and activity history export cleanly from HubSpot — that part is genuinely painless, and it is one of the things HubSpot does well by its customers.

Forms and tracking scripts have to be swapped on your website. If we are building your new site, this happens as part of the build rather than as a separate migration.

The honest warning: if you have built custom reports, custom objects or workflows your team depends on, do not switch. You will lose capability, and no discount makes that a good trade. We would rather tell you that now than have you discover it in month two.

Check your renewal date before you do anything. HubSpot Professional and Enterprise plans are annual commitments, and the timing of your notice period matters more than any migration detail.

08 · Questions people actually ask

Questions from businesses on HubSpot.

What does HubSpot actually cost?
+
From HubSpot’s own pricing page as of August 2026: Marketing Hub Starter from $20 per seat per month billed annually; Professional at $890 per month annually, including 3 seats and 2,000 marketing contacts, with a mandatory $3,000 one-time onboarding fee; Enterprise at $3,600 per month including 5 seats, with a $7,000 onboarding fee. Extra seats and extra marketing contacts are charged on top.
Is TheBigBot a full CRM?
+
Yes — contacts, pipelines, stages, tasks, notes, and unlimited contacts and users. It is not as deep as HubSpot on reporting, custom objects or attribution, and if those are what you need, HubSpot is the correct answer.
Can I import my HubSpot data?
+
Yes. Contacts, companies, deals and activity history export from HubSpot in standard formats and we import them during onboarding, including your tags and pipeline stages.
Why is HubSpot cheaper at the Starter tier?
+
Because Starter is a different product from what most businesses end up needing. The jump people actually make is Starter to Professional, and that is where the $890 a month plus $3,000 onboarding appears. Compare the tier you would really be on, not the entry price.
Does HubSpot answer phone calls?
+
No. HubSpot has calling features for your team to make and log calls, but there is no AI receptionist answering inbound calls, qualifying them and booking appointments. For a local business, that is usually the gap that matters most.
What if I need HubSpot-level reporting later?
+
Then you should move to HubSpot, and we will say so. We are a better fit for businesses whose growth comes from calls, local search and follow-up. If your operation grows into one that needs a RevOps stack, that is a good problem and a different tool.
